Project Overview
A complete redesign of a quarterly lifestyle magazine, focusing on improved readability, visual hierarchy, and a contemporary aesthetic that appeals to a younger demographic while retaining existing readers.
The Challenge
The magazine's previous design was outdated and failed to engage readers effectively. Content was dense and difficult to navigate, with inconsistent visual elements throughout the publication.
The Solution
We created a flexible grid system that allows for dynamic layouts while maintaining consistency. The typography was updated with a modern, readable typeface family that works well in both headlines and body text. We introduced a cohesive color system and developed custom icons and illustrations to enhance the visual storytelling.
The Results
The redesigned magazine has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from readers and advertisers alike. Newsstand sales increased by 25% following the redesign, and the publication has attracted new advertisers in previously untapped market segments.
